A dedicated clinic to treat your migraines
We treat a wide range of headaches, from Arnold’s neuralgia and tension headaches to migraines with aura and vestibular migraines. The vast majority of our patients usually experience significant improvement in their migraines: a marked reduction in both pain and frequency. We use gentle, non-invasive manual therapies, without the use of medication, to effectively treat migraines. Since 2002, Dr. Daniel Lachance, chiropractor, has been treating migraines and headaches at his clinic. Over the years, by increasingly focusing on migraine-related disorders, the clinic has become the Clinic La Migraine, dedicated to those suffering from migraines and seeking a lasting solution. Although we are a private clinic, no referral is needed to become a patient.

Our mission is simple: to relieve our patients from migraines and headaches so they can fully focus on their lives. We also guide them toward lasting relief. They often reduce their medication use. We sometimes also guide them to adopt better life habits for a new found quality of life.

A Few Types of Migraines and Headaches That We Treat
Migraine is characterized by intense headaches, often localized on one side of the head with a throbbing pain, accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, sensitivity to light, or sound. There are two main types: with aura, where precursor signs such as visual disturbances (flashes of light, blurry spots) or tingling may occur before the pain, and without aura, where the pain appears without warning. Each episode can last from a few hours to several days, significantly impacting quality of life.

Tension headache is the most common type of headache, characterized by a diffuse and constant pain, often described as a pressure or a tight band sensation around the head. Unlike migraines, it is not accompanied by nausea or extreme sensitivity to light or sound. The causes often include stress, fatigue, or poor posture.

Vestibular migraine combines the classic symptoms of a migraine with balance disorders and dizziness. Patients may experience a feeling of vertigo, instability, or disorientation, sometimes without an associated headache. These migraines are often triggered by stress, fatigue, or certain foods, and they require specific management to reduce their impact on quality of life.

Previously known as ophthalmic migraine, this type of migraine is now classified as a migraine with aura. It is characterized by visual disturbances such as bright spots, shimmering, or zigzag lines, which often precede the pain. These symptoms, though alarming, are temporary and reversible, and highlight the importance of proper follow-up care.

Migraines in children are more common than often thought, with symptoms sometimes different from those in adults. Abdominal migraines, for example, cause intense stomach pain without an obvious headache. They may be accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Early diagnosis and appropriate management are essential to minimize the impact on their daily life.

Arnold’s neuralgia is characterized by sharp, stabbing pain that starts at the base of the skull and can radiate to the top of the head or behind the eyes. It is caused by irritation or compression of the Arnold nerve, often related to muscle tension or injuries. Although painful, it can be relieved through targeted approaches such as manual therapies.

Also known as cluster headache, Horton’s neuralgia is an intense, unilateral, and periodic pain, often described as unbearable. It is accompanied by symptoms such as tearing, nasal congestion, or redness of the eye on the affected side. The attacks occur in clusters and require prompt management to limit their severity.

I would suggest anyone with migraines to seek this clinic!!! Dr. Lachance takes a gentle, precise approach—and while I was skeptical at first, let me tell you: IT WORKS. This man truly has magical hands! I’ve been suffering from occipital neuralgia (pain in the back of the head) and nerve pain near my throat for over 5 years. I tried everything—neurologists, acupuncture, massage therapy, physiotherapy, multiple medications—and nothing gave me real relief. Dr. Lachance was my last hope, and now I wish I had found him sooner. His technique is subtle but incredibly effective, and after just a few sessions, I started feeling real change. I honestly thank God I came across his clinic. If you’re struggling and losing hope, PLEASE do yourself a favor and visit Dr. Lachance. Don’t wait—he is the real deal :) Dina Federici2025-03-13Trustindex vérifie que la source originale de l'avis est Google. I have been a patient at Clinique La Migraine since November of 2024 after having monthly migraines for the past year. Dr Lachance has been following my case and I’m so excited to say that it’s been about three and a half months since I’ve had a migraine! The team here is incredibly professional and the care they provide is outstanding. Both Dina and Shawn are both amazing—very kind and knowledgeable. If you have frequent migraines, I would highly recommend to give them a try!
